Kayan Kangan

Kayan Kangan The "Kangan" is one of the four subgroups of the Kayan ethnic group.The name "Kangan" means "people who live on the flat land."It is a traditional name that has been used by the Kayan people since ancient times.They are also commonly known as "Yinbaw."The Shan people referred to the Kangan as "Yambaw" because the Kangan traditionally wore silver rings around their necks, which led to the name Yinbaw being popularized. Kangan people typically wear black clothing, and the women are known for wearing silver rings around their necks.

ကယန်းကငန် "ကငန်"ဟာကယန်းမျိုးနွယ်စု လေးနွယ်ထဲက တစ်နွယ်ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ "ကငန်"ဆိုတဲ့နာမည်ဟာ "မြေပြန့်မှာနေတဲ့လူ"လို့အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရပါတယ်။ ဒါဟာရှေးယခင်ကတည်းက ကယန်းမျိုးနွယ်စုတွေကနေ ခေါ်ဆိုလာကြတဲ့နာမည်ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ "ယင်းဘော်"လို့လည်းလူသိများပါတယ်။ ကငန် တွေဟာ ငွေကိုလည်ပင်းမှာဆွဲထားခြင်းကြောင့် ရှမ်းတွေဟာ "ယမ်းဘော်" ဟုခေါ်ဆိုခဲ့ကြ​ရာကနေ ယင်းဘော်ဆိုတဲ့နာမည်နာမ ဖြစ်ပေါ်လာတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ကငန်တွေဟာ အများအားဖြင့် အမည်းရောင်ကိုဝတ်ဆင်ကြပြီး အမျိုး​သမီးတွေဟာ လည်ပင်းမှာငွေကိုဆွဲထားလေ့ရှိကြပါတယ်။

Kayankadot

The Gheko ethnic group, also known as Kayankado, is a subgroup of the highland Karen. They live in the mountainous regions of Yamethin and Taungoo Districts. According to the 1983 census, their population was around 9,500. Most Gheko people reside in the towns of Loikaw, Demoso, and Hpruso within Kayah State. Their prominent traditional festivals include the hill field burning festival, rice planting festival, harvest festival, and the Kadeekhu (first harvest rice eating) festival.
